Adrian Baker RN NIP
Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner/Director
About
Adrian Baker qualified as a Registered Nurse from the University of Bedfordshire in 2008. After qualifying, he chose to develop the foundations of his nursing skills within the primary care setting. It was here that his caring and empathetic nursing skills were recognised and he gained a Diploma in Practice and Community Nursing within his first year.
In 2010, Adrian took a "leap of faith" to persue a career in medical aesthetics; combining his passion for both nursing care and appearance based medicine. Following the completion of his aesthetic training in Botulinum Toxin Type A injections and Dermal fillers, he was fortunate enough to have been mentored by and worked alongside one of the UK's leading Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner clinics. It was here that he developed a loyal following of clients who liked his gentle touch and passion to achieve beautiful results. During this time, Adrian also successfully completed his Nurse Independent Prescriber qualification at De Montfort University, to enable him to prescribe the medications required within aesthetic medicine. Adrian holds a Core of Knowledge certification in laser and light application safety and an advanced certification as a Laser Protection Supervisor.
Award-Winning Aesthetic Nurse
Adrian was awarded "Aesthetic Nurse of the Year" by The British Journal of Nursing in 2014 and was as a Board Member for the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) from 2014-2017. He is the Co-Author of the RCN accredited "BACN Aesthetic Nursing Competency Framework" (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), created to assist nurses in the UK to develop their skills and careers in the aesthetic medical profession. He has also been published within the Journal of Aesthetic Nursing for his thesis on acne management and again in 2019 with a peer-review published protocol on acne scarring microneedling. In 2019 he was nominated as a finalist for the prestigious UK Aesthetic Awards. In 2021 Adrian was honoured to be asked to return again to serve as a Board Member for the BACN.
